PPTshare Launches the Desktop Slide Library™ – Making it easier to Share, Shuffle and Show PowerPoint and Video files

NY, NY January 30, 2007 – PPTshare (www.PPTshare.com) announced today the introduction of the PPTshare Desktop Slide Library, a new desktop application that lets users consolidate all of their PowerPoint and video files to one easy location. Once in the library, users can search through all of the local PPT slides and video, view them from one program and then drag & drop them into a new presentation file.

The Desktop Slide Library has added features for video and sharing files. Videos are automatically formatted into a full-screen slide as they are dragged & dropped into the library.  So, users no longer have to fumble with video links and formats.  The sharing feature automatically posts the PowerPoint and video files, together, to a secure location for download by the recipient, reducing space and traffic on e-mail servers and limiting the likelihood of “video not playing”.

“People tend to fall-down when they’re trying to send a large PowerPoint file or when they’re trying to play a video.  In theory, these are simple tasks, but in reality, e-mail has attachment limitations and video links break,” says AlexAnndra Ontra, Co-founder and President of PPTshare. “The Desktop Library safeguards against those pitfalls.”

“With PowerPoint’s ascension to the premier medium for business communications, people end up with 100s, sometimes 1000s, of presentations on their hard-drive, network and e-mail,” says James Ontra, Co-founder & CEO of  PPTshare. “Sometimes, finding the right slide is like finding a needle-in-a-haystack.  With the Desktop Slide Library, you can find the slide you are looking for.”
